Project Description: Between setting up the identification of role and search functionality based on functional areas, the overall functionality of the new portal will reduce user frustration with an anticipated increase in adoption of Service-Now vs. emails and phone calls and provide the service experience users are looking for.
Project Purpose/Business Need: Service Now- general link https://services.uchicago.edu/ , where users are normally guided for requests and support, offers three choices. The choices are too broad. They do not have a ‘customer’ path (student, staff, faculty, alumni, etc.). There is no search option either to allow users to easily navigate thru the current portal.
Project Scope: Add a new single portal for all access to services for university staff, faculty, and external requests.
IT Partners Impacted by Project: Anyone requesting services will now use the new single portal.
